Tech Friday – The Annual Gear Guide from Scott Kelby

Every year for 7 years now Scott Kelby has released his "Annual Awesome Holiday Gear Guide". His guide always has great buys for any photographer in the family from expensive buys to very affordable buys. His two stipulations for the guide is: 1. Uses the product himself 2. Would recommend to any friend   Continuing in the same vein, I'd like to introduce the products that I love, really really want, or the ones that I'm borderline obsessed with.   The products I already use and don't want to ever do without again: Snapseed for iOS – the best thing about this as of...

Tech Friday – All sorts of announcements
Canon 5d Mark III Check out B&H Photo's review of the new 5D III. It didn't follow what some people had hoped; competing with the new Nikon D800 (36 MP!!). But still with all the new improvements it is sure to make a splash in the Canon world.     iPad 3   Apple came out with "The new iPad" on Wednesday. I'm sure they will sell like hot cakes like they also do but it kinda felt like the iPhone 4s launch. You just were expecting the "new" feature that no one has thought of yet. I mean come on, if you can afford an iPad you can afford this app. I may do my own review down the road but for now I'll leave you with a video demo from the one an only Terry White:     Update: The Photoshop Guys over...

And it's only $4.99!!   Also on another note, the next issue of "Light It", the iPad exclusive digital magazine is FINALLY available.  I can't wait to get a chance to read it and interact with the magazine.  If you haven't checked out my mini review, it gives you a break down of what the magazine is all...

Tech Friday Mini Review – Light It Magazine
"Light It"   Scott Kelby and the Kelby Team have done it again.  On Wednesday, only a few months after releasing the KelbyTraining App, Scott Kelby released the iPad exclusive "Light it" Magazine.  It's a photography magazine aimed at explaining how different lighting setups are used and that even the most amateur/hobbyist photographers can get shots like the pros. First impression….awesome! Its everything you could get out of a printed magazine plus tons of extra "electronic" features you could only get on a tablet.  You can double tap zoom,...
